Wild Skies & Western Lands

A Group Exhibition

June 24th - August 21, 2025 in the Central Gallery

Public Artist Reception: August 1, 5pm - 7pm

We asked both professional and emerging artists to submit work that explores rural landscapes, the countryside, farming practices, and interactions with domesticated animals. The artists responded with a range of interpretations—some rooted in realism, others leaning toward abstraction or fantasy. The result is a snapshot style portrait of agricultural life.

A Critter’s Tale

Featuring art by Christine Joy Swanson & Sarah Joy Silva

Public Artist Reception: August 1, 5pm - 7pm

June 24 - September 18, 2025 in the Tri Family Lobby Gallery

In an era of digitalized art & AI, Christine and Sarah decided to instead make this novel, “The Yellow Cottage – A Critter’s Tale”, completely in a traditional fashion – using pen, paper, watercolors, and their imaginations. Locally printed by Brown Printing in Portland, “The Yellow Cottage – A Critter’s Tale” will include 24 chapters of whimsical stories, beautiful watercolor illustrations, and ink pen drawings. Within the back pages will be a mini PNW field guide identifying all of the book’s furry and feathery friends, and a glossary for early readers.

Essence Of Oregon

A Solo Show By Gary Buhler

May 20 - August 21, 2025 in the Loft Gallery

Gary Buhler considers the stream's reflective qualities, translucence, opacity, cohesiveness, surface qualities, movement, reactive and refractive qualities, buoyancy, oxygenation, fluidity and leveling nature - and the hoped for sign of life beneath - the fish.

These complex and ever-changing characteristics coming together in a unified whole have brought him refreshment and creative inspiration over the years. In addition, the symbolic nature of water and its life giving role is a rich topic.

Conversations in Clay: An Exhibition with Oregon Potters Association

Exhibition Dates: September 2 - November 13, 2025

Public Artist Reception: September 12, 2025 | 5-7 PM

Success when working in clay requires patience and ultimately having a conversation with the clay. Sure, in the end the artist gets the credit but it’s the give-and-take with the clay that gets the result. And that’s not the only conversation. When the potter and the clay are in concordance, the kiln and glaze carry the conversation forward. This is an exhibition of those conversations in clay.
