Art Camps — The Chehalem Cultural Center

HALF DAY CAMPS Ages 3-5.5 |  $170 per week 

Art Adventure: Earth & Nature| July 7th-11th  | 9am-Noon | Ages 3-5.5

We will explore Bugs, Plants, Flowers, Trees, the Animal Kingdom and celebrate our Earth!

Art Adventure: Art Takes Flight! | July 21st-25th  | 9am-Noon | Ages 3-5.5

Explore the skies using fun art materials and let your creativity soar through all the many animals, creatures and machines that take flight!

Art in Performance | Half Day (Ages 3-6) | Aug 4th-8th- 9am-Noon | Ages 3-5.5

Our littlest of artists will get to play, act, sing, dance, design, and create an original performance piece which they spend the week creating and rehearsing. The week will conclude with a performance with our Full Day Campers on Friday August 8th at Noon in our Lajoie Theatre! 

FULL DAY CAMPS- Ages 5.5-12 (Grades K-5) | $250 per week 

Discover Art: Earth & Nature| July 7th-11th | Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm, Fri 9am-Noon 

Grades K-5 (Ages 5.5-12) 

Designed specifically for the elementary-age artists in our community, artists will actively engage their imaginations and creativity while discovering the whole spectrum of beauty that surrounds us in nature and inspires a world of art!

Discover Art: Once Upon a Time- Art & Story  | July 14th-18th | Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm, Fri 9am-Noon  Grades K-5 (Ages 5.5-12) 

This week we will celebrate our favorite books (Classic and modern),  illustrators and characters from the literary world! 

Discover Art: Enchanted Kingdoms, Monsters & Mythology | July 21st-25th | Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm, Fri 9am-Noon 

Grades K-5 (Ages 5.5-12)  

Explore mythology, magic & fantasy from all over the world: stories, creatures, & more! We’ll create art and crafts based on our favorite enchanted creatures like fairies, unicorns, dragons, fairies, mermaids, and gnomes. 

Discover Art: Builder's Camp | July 28th-August 1st | Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm, Fri 9am-Noon 

Grades K-5 (Ages 5.5-12)

A week of creation, cardboard sculpture, construction- paper mache, collaborative projects, models, robots, fairy kingdoms, birdhouses and more! 

Art in Performance | Full Day (Ages 6-11) | Aug 4th-8th| Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm, Fri 9am-Noon |

Grades K-5 (Ages 5.5-12) 

Young artists will get to act, sing, dance, design, and compose an original performance piece which they spend the week creating and rehearsing. The week will conclude with a performance for families combined with the Half Day Campers on Friday August 8th at Noon in the LaJoie Theatre! 

SUMMER TEEN STUDIO: 

Morning Teen Ceramics Studio | June 23rd-27th | 10a - 1p | $115 

Afternoon Teen Ceramics Studio | June 23rd-27th | 2-5p | $115 

Please enroll in only one Ceramics Session- choose either morning or afternoon- due to popularity and space constraints, students must only choose one session.

Culinary Camp- Eating History | August 4th-8th | 10am-Noon | $125 (all materials, food, and cookware provided)

In addition to the programming that the Chehalem Cultural Center offers, we provide rental space for many public events that are put on by community organizations and organizers.  If  an event that is happening in our building is not on our website, it is likely that the event is put on by an organization renting our space for their event.  For information regarding these events, please contact the organizers.
