Every day of our art camp, our young artists will experiment with visual art, crafts, clay, theatre, dance, nature and more! Artists will laugh and learn as they create and explore with projects utilizing different creative mediums like clay, painting, collage, fabrics, and reclaimed material art. Art will be sent home each day!

SUPPLIES/MATERIALS: All materials provided.

ENROLLMENT COST: $170 or Half Day Camp/ $250 for Full Day Camp

Art Adventure Camps: Ages 3-5.5 ( PreK - K )

Our Art Adventure camps are hands-on explorations of art of all kinds! Designed specifically for the youngest artists in our community, artists will actively engage their imaginations and creativity while discovering the whole spectrum of beauty that surrounds us in nature and inspires a world of art!

Projects will range through different creative mediums like clay, painting, collage, fabrics, and reclaimed material art.

Art Adventure: Earth & Nature | July 7th-11th | Daily, Morning Only 9am - 12pm

The week will include crafts, dancing, theater exploration, & nature walks—we’ll explore the world of bugs, flowers, animals, and all the nature that surrounds us!

Art Adventure: Art Takes Flight! | July 21st-25th | Daily, Morning Only 9am - 12pm

Let your creativity soar as we take to the skies for art inspiration! Campers will use a variety of materials to create art connected to the many animals, creatures, and machines that take flight.

Discover Art Camps: Ages 5.5-12

Our Discover Art camps are hands-on explorations of art of all kinds! Designed specifically for the elementary-age artists in our community, artists will actively engage their imaginations and creativity while discovering the whole spectrum of beauty that surrounds us in nature and inspires a world of art!

Projects will range through different creative mediums like clay, painting, collage, fabrics, and reclaimed material art. **If you have a Kindergartener who is ready to attend full day camp, please contact our Education Manager to discuss registering.

Full Day Camps run Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm, Friday 9am-Noon

Discover Art: Earth & Nature | July 7th-11th | Mon - Thurs 9am -3pm, Friday 9am - 12pm

The week will include art from recycled & found objects, theater games, story exploration & nature walks! We’ll explore the world of bugs, flowers, the Animal Kingdom, Outer Space, the Ocean & all the nature that surrounds us!

Discover Art: Once Upon a Time - Art & Story | July 14th-18th | Mon - Thurs 9am -3pm, Friday 9am - 12pm

Book and art lovers unite! Campers will celebrate favorite books, characters, and illustrators - both classic and modern - and get inspired to create their own art pieces inspired by the literary world.

Discover Art: Enchanted Kingdoms, Monsters & Mythology | July 21st-25th | Mon - Thurs 9am -3pm, Friday 9am - 12pm

Explore mythology, magic & fantasy from all over the world! stories, creatures, & more! Campers will create art and crafts based on favorite enchanted stories and mythological creatures like fairies, unicorns, dragons, fairies, mermaids, and gnomes. 

Discover Art: Builder’s Camp | July 28th- August 1st| Mon - Thurs 9am -3pm, Friday 9am - 12pm

Create structures and sculptures that bring your ideas to life! Campers will engage in a full week of building models, robots, fairy kingdoms, sculptures and more both individually and collaboratively.

Art In Performance: Ages 3 - 12

Art In Performance Half Day [Ages 3-5.5] | August 4th-8th | Daily 9am - 12pm Morning only

Our littlest of artists will get to play, act, sing, dance, and design a performance piece which they spend the week designing and rehearsing. From on-stage stardom to behind-the-scenes set design & stage crew, there is a role for every camper to experience the art of performance. The week will conclude with a performance with our Full Day Campers on Friday August 8th at Noon in the LaJoie Theatre! 

Art In Performance Full Day [Ages 5.5-12] | August 4th-8th | Mon - Thurs 9am - 3pm, Friday 9am - 12pm

Young artists will get to act, sing, dance, and design a performance piece which they spend the week designing and rehearsing. From on-stage stardom to behind-the-scenes set design & stage crew, there is a role for every camper to experience the art of performance. The week will conclude with a performance with our Full Day Campers on Friday August 8th at Noon in the LaJoie Theatre! 

 

2025 Class Cancellation Policy

  • Up to 5 days before the start of class/camp: 100% registration fee refunded

  • Between 5 days and 48 hours before the start of class/camp: 50% of the fee is refunded and 50% is credited to your account

  • Less than 48 hours before the start of class/camp: 50% is credited to your account, 50% is forfeited.

In addition to the programming that the Chehalem Cultural Center offers, we provide rental space for many public events that are put on by community organizations and organizers.  If  an event that is happening in our building is not on our website, it is likely that the event is put on by an organization renting our space for their event.  For information regarding these events, please contact the organizers.
